Readers and blogs

Still workng through the blogging process. Having trouble navigating. I think I set up a dashboard. Am following five people right now, will add more. Hard to easily see new comments. Linked through the Google reader. That happened by itself. I like the Google reader the best so far. RSS feed thing, right?

  1. Jim,
Have to agree with you that I am also stumbling along, and am really unsure of myself with chatting on the blog and especially the twitter! (I don't have problems posting thoughts, just commenting / chatting). I also wanted to mention to you that I appreciated your thoughts that you posted on my blog re: social networking and since they (students) are natives, do we really need to "show" them it? Will what we do make it better? I'd have to say to that: at this point I don't know that I have the tools yet to make it better...just meet them where they are already comfortable communicating! But I think with diligence and persistence on my part I can find a few ways to try some new Web2.0 tools that could keep them "hooked" and eventually pushing them to think and communicate more critically. Obviously, I'm not there yet...so that's my "vision"! Ha

  2. I agree with the overwhelming ness of all the blogs. I've decided to at least read three a day even if I don't comment. I know it sounds selfish but I get ideas and understanding from reading other people's blogs. Then I try it out on my blog. My email box gets crowded with notices about changes to webpages and it addes to my panic.
